Kilimanjaro & Zanzibar Tour

FROM THE ROOF OF AFRICA TO THE FLOOR OF THE OCEAN!

One of the things that should be on every ones bucket list is to climb Kilimanjaro! To sit "on the roof of Africa” was truly one of the most amazing feelings for everyone!

The preparing for the tour started with a whirlwind of training, malaria injections, gear, packing, visas and passports all combined with an excitement that could not be contained! In preparing for Kilimanjaro we climbed every mountain in our area, studied every possible bit of detail of the climb and walked with our "big blister-making-shoes until it became proper hiking shoes!

In our flight we passed over the Kilimanjaro peak, it was surreal to think in a couple of days we will be standing in that white snow! After our first briefing we met the friendly porters (all 25 of them!).

While we hiked with a snail’s pace (to give our bodies time to acclimatise) we made good friends along the way from all different nations. We started ascending to the peak at midnight and reached the summit at 7am. The view from the top can not be explained in words!

After our victory at Kilimanjaro we spent some time on Zanzibar’s white sandy beaches with crystal clear warm water! It gave us time to recover and enjoy our wonderful memories of the adventure we will never forget!
